Hiya,
I've found a new home, it's been a long time coming but last year I was concentrating on setting up business and what not. Now things are sorted a bit better, I'm blogging again and it feels fab. Mainly business related but there will be the odd post on different things happening in the Jodulbug house.

My Creative Space - Swap Night
Wednesday nights in these parts is crafty night. Myself and a group of fabulous friends meet up each Wednesday and knit, craft and whatever else we feel the urge for.
This year we have done a number of crafty swaps. Last night we had a 'Mother's Day Swap'. Gosh it was so so much fun.
Here is what I made my lovely friend Sarah. There's a project bag made out of recycled blanket, rainbow gradient yarn dyed by me, polymer clay buttons, rainbow coloured pin cushion, crochet covered measuring tape, choccie and some more yarn. I loved putting this together, but then I'm a sucker for rainbows and Sarah is such a wonderful friend it was easy decide what too make.
Anyone feeling a tad jealous? I'm so so lucky to have found a group of like minded ladies. Not only do we love to knit and sew we have some bloody good laughs. In fact I was brought too tears last night from laughing so much. There's one slight problem though, I'm always absolutely shattered on a Thursday, but it's sooooooooooooooooooo worth it :)
Before I forget, I'm having my first yarn sale tonight on my Facebook page at 8pm NZ time. Follow the link above if you would like to see what else is up for grabs.

Here is my amazing gift from another great friend Sharron. The coolest wall clock I've ever seen. Rainbow of course but also in a flower shape. What more could a rainbow crazed gardener ask for. This will be taking pride and place in my studio. There's also some lovely homemade lemon curd, a cool project bag and some choccie. There was another packet of choccie but this got eaten last night lol.

Jodulbug Creations Launch on Facebook
I finally got up enough courage to launch my new Facebook Page on Monday. I had been quite nervous about getting the ball rolling but decided too bite the bullet and just do it.
Things have gone really well, so I'm super happy. Still feeling a tad nervous but I guess this is a normal way too feel when you put your goodies out there in the hopes that others will like them.
I'm back to making my Interchangeable Needle Cases, but this will only be a few times a year with a limited number of spaces available. If you are a knitter and are reading this and like the look of my cases, please pop over too my Facebook page and like it. I will update when the next round of spaces will be available in a few months.
I will also have a number of other products available from time to time. Items will include, shawl pins, fabric covered buttons, baby and kids items, and a new venture hand dyed yarn.
I've been dyeing yarn for nearly 4 years now and love every step of the process. I've thought about selling it for months but was a little worried that it wouldn't go down well. After some encouragement from a few friends I've decided to do a few stockings. These won't be an every week event, but I do plan on a few over the next few months.
Naturally I have done a few other things this week but they can not be revealed because they are for swaps :)

My Creative Space - Thurs 26th April 2012
One of my all time favourite things to craft is dolls. I love the whole process from fabric choices, right through to the very end.
I love how once I have finished a dollies face, I'm committed and she must be finished. Might seem a bit strange but once a doll comes to life with her wee face there's no turning back and she has got to get finished.
Here's my latest dolly which I made for a lovely friend who's wee girl was born a couple of months ago.
The pattern for this doll is made by the very very talented Sarah from Dolls and Daydreams
If you are interested in her patterns, pop over to her instant download shop here
I am planning on having a few of these dollies for sale by the end of this year so watch this space.

My Creative Space - Thursday 4th April 2012
This week has been a full on week of celebrating my girls 4th Birthday. It started with her Rainbow Butterfly party on Sunday, then cake at kindy followed by her actual birthday yesterday.
Doesn't really seem possible at all, these past 4 years have flown by. Cara is the most amazing kid, we love her too bits. She is so kind hearted, loving, funny and just generally a really cool kid. We feel really lucky that she chose our family.
Here are some of the highlights from our week:
If anyone is keen on a tutorial to make the wings, please let me know and I will make one up.

My Creative Space - Meet Isobel ♥
Last week I revealed a glimpse of a dolly I was making for my girl. She was part of a pair I am making for my girls birthday.
This dolly is still not completed but I have finished her wee friend.
This is Isobel:
She's a bit shy but oh so so sweet.
The shape of her head isn't perfect but I think I've found out why. I was constructing it incorrectly but I think she's still gorgeous and I'm pretty sure Cara will love her regardless.
This week there has also been some mad party prep for her Rainbow party in the weekend. Yesterday we made some coloured sugars. Cara loved making these and they were super easy. we are missing purple but we ran out of raw sugar so it will be made in the next couple of days.
I will make up a seperate post on how to make these, one thing I can tell you is I will NEVER buy coloured sugar again. It's so expensive to buy but super super cheap to make.
