My Creative Space 10th June 2010

It's been a month since I participated in My Creative Space and I have missed it dearly. My creative mojo disappeared for quite sometime but it is now back and in full swing.

Aaron and I are off on a wee holiday to Napier soon. It has been 3 1/2 years since we have been away anywhere and the first time taking Miss C. Our last trip was to the UK for 5 weeks though so that kept us going for a bit LOL.

I had a wee panic though at the beginning of the week when the weather report had a snow warning for the Central North Island, oh crap I thought, living in Auckland we are not used to really cold conditions. We do get the odd frost, but compared to further down the country it's nothing.

Soooooooooooooo I had a wee panic because the kidlet didn't really have many woolies etc to wear. I needed something that was quick but super quite at the same same time. The result of my searching ended up in me making a scarf and hat for Miss C last night.

Pattern for Scarf is Neat Ripple Pattern by Lucy @ Attic 24
. I just made a guess as to how many sets of 14 I needed for the scarf. Pretty pleased with the length.

Pattern for the hat is Shabby Hat by Sharon Maher

For a quick fix I totally recommend these two patterns :)

awesome hat and scarf, can't wait to be able to make things like that one day -can only mangage granny squares so far! Have a great time in napier, it's my hometown. we went down there about a month ago and had a neat weekend, even saw orca whales in the harbour!

Miss C is SO SO SO adorable. Your scarf and beanie are pretty ace too. Thanks for the links... need to make some beanies for the freezing conditions here in Perth. (somehow I think our definitions of freezing might be a little different!)

What a sweet heart. Great that your creative mojo is back. Sometimes it's good to have a little break as you come back to it reenergised.
